"Great Art"

Great art is not predicated upon the price of the art but what the art does for the art lover. Great art should invoke a feeling of peacefulness, beauty, contentment, inspiration and aspirations and an emotional attachment that tells your story or the story of an experience that you have fond memories of. It should also be the pathway to greater memories and experiences and each time the art lover views the art all of the above feelings should arise. Whether you pay five dollars or five thousand dollars the art should have the elements of those values leaving one submerged in happiness. The personality of my art is somewhat diminished in the transition from art to photos and has to be seen for full appreciation.

About The Artist

I was born in a little town in Georgia called Blakely in 1946. I was born into a family of twelve children being the second oldest. I have three brothers that are accomplished artist as my mother and father were very artistic in their own right. I have always aspired to be an artist as I learned in my high school years that I was dubbed in the very first grade as being the artist of the future. In my middle and high school years I, along with another aspiring artist, was chosen to become the school artist and we did all of the art for the school bulletin boards and brochures and that I enjoyed because it was a large part of my academic schedule. Once as I can remember I had to turn in a term paper in Literature and because of my artistic expression I was awarded an A for the work although the literal aspect could use improvement. Upon graduation I wanted to attend the Savannah School of Art but being from the size family my parents could not afford that luxury so my art was placed on hold until my later years. Now I have lived out my aspirations for many years and is able to be the creative genius that I am.
